Kassian's eyes blazed momentarily, like a struck iron, but he maintained a stoic expression, mouth slightly downturned.

"You and I both know there's no stopping an Isaev from doing what he wants."

Or getting what he wants, Kassian thought.

He did not acknowledge the sound of the gun decocking, like an impolite noise perpetrated in company.

"I checked the gym already. This was the second place I thought to look."

Kassian paused for a moment, considering.

"I'll check the sauna next."

He nodded, and stepped back.
